Father’s Day is around the corner, so we came up with 5 Father’s Day outing ideas and recommendations so you don’t have to worry about planning anything! Keep reading to ensure your dad has the most special day.

1. Going on a Hike

Your dad will always treasure the basic pleasures of life. Going outside for Father’s Day is a great idea! Torrey Pines State Park is one of the hiking treks we recommend in Southern California. It is located near a gorgeous beach and is not too lengthy, so you can cool off and enjoy the beach view afterward! Another option is the Los Penasquitos hiking trail, suitable for people of all ages and features stunning waterfalls all year. If you’re looking for a more challenging trip, try Lake Poway to Mount Woodsen. It’s a steep hike that will give both you and your dad a good workout! Don’t forget to bring snacks and plenty of water.

2. Road trip

Let’s be honest, a couple of hours in the car listening to your dad’s favorite music and stories about his younger days will make it the best Father’s Day! A short road trip to Joshua Tree can be a great desert getaway. It’s the closest of the big California National Parks to San Diego, and it takes around three hours to get there from the city. Joshua Tree has a beautiful park to enjoy and a quaint town you can roam around. If you want to add a nice touch, you can book an Airbnb for the night to enjoy the beautiful stars and extend your trip!

3. Go Golfing

Maybe golfing isn’t your idea of fun, but trust us your dad will love it! It gives you quality time to spend together and a reason to wear a cute outfit! A couple of golf courses we recommend are Steel Canyon Golf club, Willow Glen at Singing Hills Resort and Champions Course at Omni La Costa Resort. You can buy a day pass and golf with your dad all day, or be there for moral support; either way it’s a day you both won’t forget!

4. Go to a Baseball game

It’s baseball season, and it could not have fallen on a more perfect holiday! Buying tickets to a game and eating all the snacks while watching your favorite team will make your dad the happiest! Surprise dad with a baseball jersey of his favorite player along with a card saying, “Get dressed, we’re going to the game!” Make sure to arrive a little early so you can find parking close to the stadium!

5. Ultimate Spa Day

We want your dad to feel like his most confident self! Take him to have the ultimate spa day at iTAN to relax and do some self-care. We recommend starting off with the Beauty Angel and the Photo Facial for some anti-aging benefits. Then get a Mystic Kyss or VersaSpa Pro spray tan! Not only will your dad come out feeling great about himself, but we need to normalize dads having regular spa days… Who knows he may want to become an iCLUB member after his experience!

Your dad will have an unforgettable day if you try at least one of these experiences. Happy Father’s Day!
